OS33 Enhances the Power of Integrated Clouds
OS33 is a rising star in the nascent cloud aggregator services. Its OS33 platform enables managed services and solution providers the ability to deliver and managed utility and business applications to end users through one interface. Its new OS33 Grid offering extends the platform to provide reliable, integrated infrastructure as a service.
OS33 is one of the more interesting new companies emerging in the cloud computing era. Unlike hosting providers, carriers or conventional cloud aggregators, OS33 is providing transparency in cloud application and utilization through a consolidate interface and back-end integration of resources. This means users can easily add and scale the cloud services they consume.
The target of the service, though, is managed service providers and solution providers. OS33 has devised a model where it delivers its branded cloud services to channel partners, who in turn sell and support the services to their customers. OS33 works with leading application providers such as Microsoft and Salesforce.com.
The OS33 Grid – built on for distributed data centers across the United States – is the completion of OS33 comprehensive service, which includes its Cloud Control Panel, Application Delivery and WebTop.
“Until now, there hasn’t been a fully integrated solution that provides MSPs with everything they need to offer cloud-based hosted IT to their customers,” said OS33 President Jacob Kazakevich. “With the addition of OS33 Grid, our MSPs partners will now be able to tap into the unlimited supply of premium cloud-based infrastructure optimized for their needs and backed up by OS33 SLAs.”
OS33 Grid isn’t a hosting service or what is becoming known as a “managed cloud.” Subscribing MSPs and solution providers cannot use the service to host their applications or leased resources in the same sense as Amazon Web Services or Rackspace.
OS33 is indicative of the next generation of cloud solutions supporting the channel. Its programs, application services and infrastructure are designed to enable MSPs and solution providers to easily sell and support a variety of cloud services. OS33 Grid makes the offerings more complete.
