Commvault is continuing to invest in the expansion and enablement of its global channel program with the appointment of industry veteran Carmen Sorice to its newly created post of vice president of worldwide route services.
The Lowdown: A true industry veteran who previously served in channel leadership roles at SunGard Availability Services, AT&T, Bell Laboratories, and Alcatel Lucent, Sorice will oversee the technical and sales enablement, growth, and success of Commvault partners around the world.
The Details: Sorice will work with both internal sales teams and partners on understanding how to leverage resellers and solution providers to drive sales and growth. In addition, Sorice will play an active role in driving demand on behalf of partners to stimulate growth.
Background: Commvault is looking to drive more sales through its indirect channels. Sorice joins other recent additions to the Commvault channel leadership team, including Wenceslao Lada, vice president of worldwide alliances; Rick Fairweather, vice president of Americas channels; and Mark Fong, vice president of Asia Pacific channels and alliances.
The Buzz: “Commvault has undertaken a major redeployment of resources across its sales, partner, and field marketing organizations to create new teams dedicated to Commvault’s alliance partners, value-added resellers and distributors, service providers, and global systems integrators,” said Owen Taranuik, Commvault’s head of worldwide partnerships and market development. “Commvault has improved all aspects of partner engagement to make it easier to do business with, understand our product offerings, and take full advantage of the growing opportunities with customers in the backup & recovery and data management markets.”
“We value our strategic partnership with Commvault, and we are already seeing the results of the new partner success function led by Carmen,” said Vincent Chang, President, Arrosoft Solutions. “Commvault is actively demonstrating its commitment to being a partner-driven company.”
