Changes designed to reward top performers while adding go-to-market flexibility for all partners
Cloud endpoint protection vendor CrowdStrike today announced changes to its Elevate Partner Program, introducing new tiers and enablement tools in the hopes of driving more global sales of partner-driven security solutions.
The Lowdown: The new program tiers include the following classifications: Associate, Resell Focus, Resell Elite, and Partner Security Service. The program framework is designed to be flexible, with multiple tracks to let partners choose the track that best fits their business model, said CrowdStrike officials in Sunnyvale, Calif. Partners can also pick multiple tracks — solution provider and technology alliance, for example.
The Details: CrowdStrike’s updated Elevate program also adds a new Partner Security Services Specialization. Partners in all categories can obtain the specialization, which CrowdStrike hopes will be seen as a kind of “stamp of approval” partners can use to differentiate offerings and gain a competitive advantage.
The Buzz: In a blog post announcing the changes, Matthew Polly, vice president of worldwide business development and channels at CrowdStrike, said the updated Elevate program “establishes a framework for resellers to effectively leverage their partnerships with us, and accelerate sales by introducing exciting new revenue streams. This opportunity to reach more customers and meet the global demand for our technology is especially gratifying, as it helps advance our common goals by building on our mutual successes, to realize more benefits and rewards for our ecosystem of partners.”
“People, process, and technology all play equally large roles in optimizing and rationalizing an enterprise’s existing, and sometimes outdated, system architecture,” said Todd Weber, vice president of partner research and strategy at security solutions integrator Optiv in Denver. “Combining Optiv’s ‘inside-out’ approach with CrowdStrike’s cloud-based endpoint security platform enables organizations to start with risk mitigation and build out from there to modernize security at the network level. This is intended to help clients move from constantly putting out fires to proactively enabling their businesses.”
