New Partner First program aims for better margins, more enablement tools for providers in the growing security orchestration and automation space
Siemplify on Tuesday announced the launch of its new global partner program, an effort to attract and empower more specialized security reseller firepower to the burgeoning security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) market.
The Lowdown: The Partner First program institutionalizes much of the work that has been going on in the Siemplify channel since the middle of last year. The effort will be led by global channel chief Bradd Barmettler (pictured), the former Carbon Black and Cisco Systems channel exec who was hired to lead Siemplify’s channel efforts in November.
The Details: Key features of Siemplify’s Partner First channel program include:
• Comprehensive partner enablement with direct training on a broad range of topics to help partners build SOAR practices and create new revenue-generating professional services.
• Deal registration with deeper margins for identifying and driving customer engagement.
• Guaranteed margins even in non-standard pricing engagements.
• A modernized partner portal that will include deal registration, sales and technical enablement, lead sharing, document access, and more.
• An updated pricing model officials say partners should find easier to understand and more cost-effective.
The Impact: Siemplify is looking to recruit VARs, LARs, systems integrators, and consultants with security practices that sell to customers with their own security operations teams. With its new Partner First program structure, the vendor hopes to triple its channel partner rolls, officials said.
Background: The SOAR market is steadily gaining momentum, both among enterprises and with MSSPs, as the technology provides a way to more effectively deal with increased alerts; disparate, poorly integrated security point products; and a shortage of skilled security analysts. Roughly 70 percent of organizations are expected to add SOAR capabilities to their dedicated SOCs by 2021, up from just 5 percent today, according to Gartner.
Founded in 2015 by Israeli Defense Forces security operations experts, Siemplify is headquartered in New York with offices in Tel Aviv.
The Buzz: “With an attractive and competitive partner program, now is the perfect time for Siemplify’s existing and potential partners to embrace the most complete SOAR offering on the market,” said Barmettler. “As the SOAR industry heats up, new partners can rely on Siemplify to be a differentiator, putting them in a perfect position to earn impressive margins as the product and category mature.”
“As our customer base increasingly needs to accomplish more with less, partnering with Siemplify allows us to further expand and differentiate our existing cybersecurity services to better meet our customers’ security operations needs,” said Nic Alicandri, founder and chief business officer at CipherTechs, a New York-based MSSP. “In a crowded marketplace, our customers have found a high-value, elegant solution that’s easily deployed. From the partnership side, we found someone who is easy to execute with, and who treats both the customer and channel with tremendous respect. We’re excited to see Siemplify take its channel strategy to the next level and look forward to the official release of its worldwide channel program.”
