New global offering serves up click-to-run public and private cloud solutions with simplified configuration, customization, and deployment
Distributor Tech Data on Wednesday debuted its Cloud Solutions Factory, a portfolio of easy-to-deploy cloud solutions from a variety of providers that address customer needs in key areas such as core infrastructure, data protection, IoT, and business analytics.
The Lowdown: Tech Data’s goal with the project is to help partners keep up with the growing market demand for specific cloud service bundles by adding differentiated solutions to their portfolios while reducing cost, implementation risk, and time to market.
The click-to-run offerings in the Tech Data Cloud Solutions Factory are organized into logical groups based on business needs and outcomes, officials said.
The Details: Vendor offerings in the Cloud Solutions factory were selected based on how well the solutions align with the demands of end-user organizations. Vendors were also selected based on specific requirements designed to minimize channel conflict and maximize value to participating channel partners, Tech Data officials said.
The Cloud Solutions Factory comes out of the gate this week with products from several big-name vendor partners, including Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Red Hat, NetApp, Veeam, and Autodesk. More vendor offerings will be added throughout the coming year, officials said.
The Buzz: “In launching Cloud Solutions Factory, our focus has been on enabling our partners to deliver business outcomes with solutions that are immediately ready to deploy,” said Sergio Farache, senior vice president of strategy, innovation, cloud, and M&A at Tech Data in Clearwater, Florida. “Cloud solution design and implementation can be a complex and lengthy process, so all our offerings are preconfigured, validated, and tested, and deployments are monitored by Tech Data. The result is a suite of reliable solutions that help our partners reduce costs, maximize efficiency, and drive competitive differentiation.”
“By working with industry-leading cloud providers, we have built a portfolio of integrated, packaged solutions that can be easily and quickly configured, customized, and deployed by our partners,” Farache said. “These best-in-class providers are selected based on how well they align with the high-demand workloads needed by today’s businesses, and they must also meet specific requirements designed to protect our partners and deliver maximum value to them.”
