Study, new offering, show O365 can be leveraged to amplify cloud benefits
A report from Nucleus Research reveals that Microsoft Dynamics 365 delivers a higher return on investment when combined with analytics. Meanwhile, McAfee has announced the rollout of MVISION Cloud for Microsoft Teams, an integrated security and compliance solution for the Office 365 collaboration platform.
The Lowdown: According to the report from Nucleus, a company that conducts technology research and delivers advisory services, Microsoft Dynamics by itself delivers an ROI of almost $17 per dollar spent. That number jumps to $21.31 when Dynamics is combined with analytics.
The Details: Specifically, analytics increase the value of Dynamics by ratcheting up productivity, removing human error, and allowing teams to identify the most viable opportunities and focus on tasks with higher value-add.
As for McAfee MVISION Cloud for Microsoft Teams, the offering is an extension to McAfee’s existing MVISION Cloud security solution for Microsoft Office 365. The solution complements Team’s capabilities with a “frictionless” API-based, cloud-native approach that allows IT teams to seamlessly enforce data loss prevention policies, collaboration controls, and contextual access control; address threats from insiders and compromised accounts; audit user activity; and secure corporate data in the cloud.
Teams, a chat-based workspace in Office 365 that brings together people, conversations, content, and tools for collaboration, is integrated with familiar Office 365 applications and built from the ground up on the secure Office 365 cloud.
McAfee MVISION Cloud for Microsoft Teams provides a full complement of security, governance, and compliance capabilities, including a unified, cloud-native security platform, collaboration control, comprehensive remediation, forensic investigations, modern data security, and threat prevention.
The Buzz: “Analytics increase the value of Microsoft Dynamics 365 by more than 25 percent, pushing an already high return significantly higher,” said Ian Campbell, CEO of Nucleus. “This underscores the benefit of integrating analytics with core technologies.”
“Customers should be aware that maximizing the benefits of a joint analytics and Dynamics deployment is more involved than simply going live with the products at the same time,” added Daniel Elman, an analyst at Nucleus. “It requires the alignment of sales, service, and customer outreach programs with data collection and usage policies, making up a tight data-driven CRM strategy prior to implementation. But with a return of $21.31 per dollar spent, that alignment is well worth the effort.”
