Nerds on Site pushes Cannabis IT in-a-Box package, expands into burgeoning marijuana tech market
Looking to get high on the rapidly expanding marijuana market, Canada-based technology support company Nerds on Site filed for a trademark of its “Cannabis IT in-a-Box” solution, which enables its franchisees to provide a quick and comprehensive start-up package to dispensary operators.

The Details: Cannabis IT in-a-Box includes inventory tracking and point-of-sale systems, physical security and on-premises video monitoring, physical and digital access control solutions, network monitoring and management, IT security and support, Web site and e-commerce development, data backup and recovery services, and IT support for existing systems.
The Impact: Somewhat related to the Cannabis IT in-a-Box launch and trademark application is Nerds on Site’s expansion into Arizona. The company announced the addition of six new franchises in the Grand Canyon State, where medical marijuana is legal and legislatures are considering allowing recreational usage.
