Company’s Cloud Service Provider (CSP) group builds on success with existing customers
The newly minted CSP business unit will focus on solving the “most complex mission-critical cloud storage problems” faced by Scality’s small cadre of clients with petabyte-plus installations, according to company officials.
The Lowdown: Those clients, hailing from around the world, include Comcast (Philadelphia), Open-Xchange (Nuremberg, Germany), Rackspace (Windcrest, Texas), SMX (Auckland, New Zealand), and Telenet (Mechelen, Belgium).
The Details: The group will be led by Erik Julin, a veteran of the service provider industry. He said the creation of the unit demonstrates Scality’s commitment to its industry-leading customers.
Scality, creator of the RING object storage solution and Zenko multi-cloud controller, makes no bones about the exclusivity of its customer and partner base. Julin said the CSP unit will leverage key ISV, OEM, and channel partners to “enhance value-add solutions that help clients grow and reduce costs.”
The mission of the new unit is to support multi-petabyte storage across clients’ cloud service businesses and allow those organizations to maintain the operational reliability, service continuity, and stability they need to serve their own customers.
