Agent Partner Program enjoys significant growth
Since its launch in 2017, Carousel Industries’ agent program has grown 1,500%, according to sources at the company, which provides communication and network technology, cloud solutions, and managed and professional services. Exeter, Rhode Island-based Carousel has also created a new position on its carrier services team.
The Lowdown: In the past two years, Carousel has expanded its Agent Partner Program through nationwide recruitment. Increasing demand for carrier and managed services, as well as cloud, collaboration, data infrastructure, hosted, security, and unified communications solutions, has drawn partners to Carousel and its technology ecosystem, which includes Avaya, Cisco, Microsoft, and Verizon.
The Details: Through its Agent Partner Program, Carousel enables solution providers across the United States to bundle and resell its portfolio of carrier services and technology solutions. In response to the program’s growth, Carousel has created a new position – Verizon Program Director – on its carrier services team.
That role will be filled by Jim Barrucci, a 20-year Verizon veteran, who will report to Vice President of Carrier Services Tim Kennedy. As program director, Barrucci will be charged with increasing channel sales for Verizon’s solutions and expanding relationships with MSPs and telecom agents.
Carousel, which serves 6,000-plus customers in numerous verticals, made the announcement at last week’s Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas.
The Buzz: “Carousel’s Agent Partner Program is experiencing stronger than anticipated demand in areas such as unified communications, collaboration, cloud, and security from solution providers nationwide who are leveraging our total solutions offerings, comprehensive back office and project management support, and our 25-year track record in delivering superior customer experience,” said Kennedy. “We continue to make major investments in all aspects of our Agent Partner Program, and adding Jim Barrucci to our team underscores our commitment to channel growth and client partnerships.”
“Joining Carousel in this key role is a natural next step, and it will allow me to apply my knowledge and expertise to the entire Carousel Verizon team,” Barrucci said. “With Carousel’s status as a Verizon Platinum Partner, Verizon has been an invaluable business partner, and we look forward to increasing our joint go-to-market expertise to meet the needs of our channel partners nationwide.”
