Industry vet Rose will spearhead MSSP development at Phoenix firm
Professional services firm Bishop Fox this week took a major step toward joining the MSSP ranks, bringing on industry veteran Jon Rose into the newly created role of vice president of managed security services.
The Lowdown: Phoenix-based Bishop Fox, which focuses on penetration testing, security assessments, and other security consulting, said Rose was hired to lead the strategic development and delivery of the firm’s new managed service offerings.
The Details: Prior to joining Bishop Fox, Rose was the chief security officer at Dun and Bradstreet. He previously served as president and CISO for RedSky Security and held senior security roles at Trustwave, Cigital, and Ernst & Young.
The Buzz: “Jon is a renowned industry thought leader and innovator with keen acumen in the offensive cybersecurity field, extensive management expertise, and remarkable technical knowledge,” said Vincent Liu, co-founder and CEO of Bishop Fox. “There is no one we trust more to lead this strategic initiative for our firm.”
“Currently, organizations struggle to ensure continuous security as their applications and infrastructures constantly evolve. Most have little knowledge of the exact risks to which they are exposed at any given moment,” said Rose. “Our turnkey managed security services are ushering in a new era of continuous security for the world’s largest modern companies who are digitally transforming.”
