Distributor partners with Eracent to provide users of its IT disposition services with full lifecycle tracking and asset management
The tracking of IT assets from acquisition to disposal is getting easier for customers of Ingram Micro’s Commercial and Lifecycle Services ITAD Group, which is partnering with Eracent to provide businesses with the ability to track IT hardware devices through the entire ownership lifecycle.
The Lowdown: Ingram Micro’s ITAD (IT asset disposition) services provide businesses with secure disposal of e-waste, ensuring that hazardous materials are safely disposed of and that data is properly destroyed. In working with Eracent, a provider of services that track IT assets, Ingram customers will gain end-to-end visibility into the lifecycle of devices.
The Details: Through the partnership, Ingram is integrating its BlueIQ tracking platform with Eracent’s IT Management Center. The combination of the two products will provide mutual customers with a single platform for tracking assets’ details, location, status, and disposition from acquisition to disposal under a single-pane-of-glass dashboard.
“Ingram Micro ITAD has a long history of providing industry-leading tracking and reporting to our clients for end-of-service assets. Backed by our BlueIQ tracking system and delivered through a powerful client portal, our ability to provide clients detailed insight into scheduling, data sanitization, processing, remarketing, and recycling is second to none,” said Todd Zegers, vice president of ITAD, Commerce & Lifecycle Services, at Ingram Micro. “The Eracent integration provides our mutual clients a single, unified dashboard that makes it easy for them to manage and track the full asset lifecycle.”
“The integration between the Eracent IT Management Center and BlueIQ enhances security and supports the ability of both organizations to provide a better overall service experience,” added William Choppa, president of Eracent. “The integration offers a simple, wizard-driven user interface to request service, and provides minute-by-minute updates. By eliminating the need for custom integration, the user experience is both powerful and seamless.”
