Audit and assessment clearinghouse targets SIs and MSSPs, names new channel development chief
Third-party risk assessment aggregator and clearinghouse CyberGRX this week launched a global partner program, looking to attract MSSPs and SIs that need to incorporate into their offerings the drudgery that’s third-party risk management.
The Lowdown: The four-tier program will give channel partners guaranteed margin floor and other incentives based on level of commitment, officials said. Additionally, CyberGRX’s partner program features comp neutrality to encourage better relationships between the internal sales team and partner organizations. MSSPs and systems integrators stand to benefit by being able to deliver a scalable, more cost-effective, and, frankly, less awful way to manage third-party risk.
The Details: The CyberGRX Global Partner Program will be led by newly appointed Director of Channel Development Walter Specht, a channel veteran who has held similar roles at Guidance Software, Nuix, and BitSight.
Current CyberGRX partners include Bitsight, Consortium, CriticalStart, Eurofins, IOS, K logix, Optiv, and Tevora.
Background: Born in the wake of the infamous 2014 Target breach, which resulted from compromised credentials belonging to an HVAC contractor, Denver-based CyberGRX developed a clearinghouse that collects and shares the results of validated supply-chain audits. The CyberGRX system not only streamlines what is typically a lengthy, cumbersome, and redundant audit process for both enterprises and their suppliers, but also raises the level of security maturity for both parties by enforcing policies based on well-established, standardized frameworks.
The Buzz: “In today’s complex business and technology environment, vendor risk management is a top concern, and ensuring supply chain resiliency and security is a critical part of any good business strategy,” said Sean Walls, vice president of CyberGRX partner Eurofins Cyber Security. “However, this process can be daunting and inefficient, leading to less than optimal outcomes, which is why we’ve partnered with CyberGRX.
“CyberGRX helps reduce the complexity and level of effort associated with managing vendor risk, both internally and externally,” Walls added. “Having a trusted third party to manage and validate vendor security saves valuable time, money, and effort that our customers can spend proactively on other important initiatives.”
“We designed a world-class partner program that offers our partners commitment, support, and benefits not available from others in this space,” said new CyberGRX channel leader Specht. “Not only will our partners be able to offer their customers a truly innovative and force-multiplying approach to TPCRM, our program also provides our partners with strong margins and other incentives to ensure we are helping them grow their business.”
