Appoints two sales directors
The Israel-based company, which delivers business continuity software for virtualized infrastructures and cloud environments, continues to build its channel team, announcing the hire of industry veterans Emily Weeks and Eric Barnhart.
The Lowdown: Weeks’ former employers include Cisco, Microsoft, and Veeam, while Barnhart’s résumé features Avnet Technology Solutions.
The Details: As director of sales for the East Americas, Weeks’ mission will be to guide Zerto’s sales team in becoming trusted advisors to cloud service provider (CSP) partners.
At Cisco, she held a number of titles, working for the U.S. and global channel organizations, where she learned how to support and manage a variety of partners. At Microsoft, Weeks worked with global hosting providers as a manager of business development and global partner accounts, and she played a business development role at Veeam.
Meanwhile, Barnhart, as Americas director of channel sales, will be responsible for tying together the Zerto sales process and the VAR community. He has 17 years of technology sales experience, having worked in channel sales for multiple companies. Barnhart will leverage next-gen consumption models to help Zerto’s channel partners transform their businesses.
Background: Officials at Zerto said the recent hires reinforce its commitment to building a strong channel for its solutions. Earlier this year, the company hired Vice President of Worldwide Channel and Cloud Sales Jim Ortbals and Vice President of Global Pre-Sales Engineering Amber Johanson.
The Buzz: “I felt like now was the perfect opportunity to join Zerto, considering their lifecycle and where they are today and where they want to go,” Weeks said. “My goal is to use my channel experience to help influence Zerto’s cloud channel strategy moving forward. I’m looking forward to working with the Zerto CSPs and creating strong relationships to accelerate and optimize how customers manage disaster recovery, data protection, and cloud.”
“I’m thrilled to be joining Zerto because of the strong channel foundation that’s been laid,” Barnhart said. “The IT Resilience platform is everything a next-generation channel partner is looking for when driving positive business outcomes for their customers. It’s a software, cloud, services, and security play that drives improved valuations for the partner.”
