Thomas Stanley will oversee sales, channel, and alliances
Tanium, which sells endpoint security and system management solutions, this week named Stanley as its chief sales officer. In that role, he’ll be responsible for field sales, field operations, the channel, and alliances.
The Lowdown: Stanley, who comes to Tanium after more than a decade at storage and data management vendor NetApp, will be responsible for accelerating the company’s growth in both the U.S. and international markets. Prior to NetApp, he was in sales positions at IBM and SGI.
The Details: The exec served in multiple sales and management roles during his time at NetApp, most recently as senior vice president and general manager of the vendor’s Americas unit, where his responsibilities included direct and indirect sales, engineering, professional services, business development, finance, operations, and marketing across North America, South America, and the U.S. public sector.
The Buzz: Stanley is one of a number of executive hires Tanium has made this year. Others have included Tom Herrmann as vice president of global alliances and channel and Armando Dacal as vice president of Australia and New Zealand. The company also grew its workforce to more than 1,000 this year.
