Barcoding and FactoryFour partner on IoT, RFID solutions
A partnership between Barcoding and FactoryFour will help companies in the manufacturing and logistics industries with their efforts to design, track, manage, and deploy systems.
The Lowdown: The two vendors will combine Barcoding’s automatic identification and capture (AIDC), Internet of Things (IoT), and RFID offerings with FactoryFour’s expertise in such areas as real-time work-in-progress (WIP), visibility, enhanced quality control, and asset and inventory traceability.
The Details: The integrated solutions also will leverage Barcoding’s GoLive and StayLive services. The GoLive Services deliver deployment capabilities to ensure that the company’s mobile offerings are up and running as soon as they’re delivered to the customer without the need for configuration or changes by the user. The services include everything from project management and product inspection to battery charging, software loading, and asset tagging.
The StayLive services are part of Barcoding’s professional services arm touching on extended support and proactive management.
FactoryFour offers a cloud-based, hardware-agnostic software platform that can integrate with hardware devices, such as tablets and barcode scanners. Those devices can then automate actions within the platform, such as automated production status and analytics on cycle times and labor productivity.
The Impact: As manufacturing and logistics companies grow their production capabilities, the combined solutions will bring greater visibility and management capabilities to their efforts.
The Buzz: “Barcoding offers a fit-to-purpose WIP tracking and process automation solution with FactoryFour that delivers high ROI with superior reporting and decision support,” said Ken Currie, vice president of business development at Barcoding. “This partnership with FactoryFour will provide our manufacturing customers with a seamless, customizable solution as they scale and manage production.”
“I was impressed with Barcoding’s hunger to innovate and bring new solutions to the market,” said Param Shah, CEO and co-founder of FactoryFour. “Pairing our platform with the hardware and services Barcoding provides is a critical step for us to provide premium solutions to our manufacturers.”
