IDaaS vendor also rolling out portal for partner program
Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) vendor Auth0 is bringing in an executive to oversee its growing channel program, which now includes an online portal aimed at helping to build a partner community.
The Lowdown: The Bellevue, Washington, company this week announced that Bill Lapcevic – a veteran of such software companies as Sentry.io, where he was COO, and New Relic, where he served as vice president of business development and then of customer success – will be vice president of business development. In that role, he’ll be responsible for all global channels and partnerships at Auth0.
The Details: The new partner portal is part of Auth0’s larger effort to expand technology training and enablement for the channel. The company’s partners can leverage the portal to access content and training materials, directly register a new opportunity, and see the latest news about Auth0, its products, and identity management. The portal comes on the heels of Auth0 launching a microsite to draw attention to its products available at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace.
Auth0 is hoping the appointment of Lapcevic, who has been with the company since August, and the partner portal will continue the rapid expansion of the channel program, which has grown 440% over the past year.
Among the new partners announced this week are Globant, an integrator of digitally native systems; NetBR, an identify software integrator and Auth0’s first partner in Brazil; and Versett, a digital strategy consultancy and the vendor’s initial partner in Canada. In addition, Nixu – a cybersecurity services company with operations in Europe – and Soft Strategy, a consulting firm with expertise in digital trust in Italy, also joined the partner program.
The Impact: Auth0 officials said organizations’ drive to become digital enterprises – IDC is predicting that spending on digital transformation efforts will hit $1.97 trillion in 2022 – is fueling the demand for systems integrators and consultants to help with the efforts and that identity management is a key part of these initiatives.
Background: The company in May announced $103 million in Series E funding, led by Sapphire Ventures. The 6-year-old Auth0, which has more than 5,000 customers in more than 70 countries, now has raised more than $210 million.
The Buzz: “It’s an exciting time to join Auth0 to build on the incredible momentum our partner program has achieved. Our partners are key to extending Auth0’s reach worldwide,” Lapcevic said. “When our partners combine their skills, best practices, and products with Auth0’s extensibility and customization capabilities, customers receive a holistic world-class solution for authentication and identity that others just can’t match.”
“Our mission is to help our customers prepare for and succeed in any digital and cognitive future,” said Gastón Fourcade, CTO at Globant. “Identity management is a critical step in any transformation process. We leverage the latest technologies and platforms in our customers to deliver business-ready solutions and Auth0 proves to be a solid solution to support customers in those transformations.”
