DNS service vendor also inks distribution deal with Promark
NS1, which develops Web and application traffic management solutions, is rolling out a new channel program and partner resource center and is helping to kick off the effort with a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro subsidiary Promark.
The Lowdown: The New York-based company is looking to give systems integrators, MSPs, and resellers solution options in DNS (domain name system), DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol), and IP address management (IPAM), collectively known as DDI.
The Details: Legacy DDI systems are not a good fit for enterprises that are adopting more dynamic and modern IT environments, lacking the performance, automation, and scale needed for multicloud and hybrid cloud architectures, containers, edge, and similar emerging technologies, according to NS1. The Global Partner Program and Promark partnership are designed to expand the reach of the vendor’s next-generation DDI offerings and give partners another avenue for growing their recurring revenue capabilities.
The company’s partner portal includes more streamlined deal registration and access to resources for partner enablement and support. There also are joint marketing, demand generation, and brand awareness resources. NS1 said it’s looking for partners with offerings in such areas as cloud, DevOps, and software-defined WAN (SD-WAN), and for those selling application performance management solutions.
The Impact: NS1’s unveiling of its partner program comes days after the company announced it had raised $33 million in Series C funding in a round led by Dell Technologies Capital, with Cisco Investments and existing investors also participating. In July, NS1 said that in the first half of this year, it saw 80% annualized growth when compared with the second half of 2018, with the increase driven in large part by the release in May of its Enterprise DDI platform.
The Buzz: “We are building partnerships with technology providers who are ready to take advantage of the advancements happening in the market while also providing their customers and prospects with critical tools to improve application delivery and performance,” said Warren Mead, vice president of channel partnerships for NS1. “NS1’s software licensing model will drive an annuity revenue stream for partners around the globe. In addition, we have streamlined on-boarding and bolstered training to give partners the greatest opportunities for success.”
“We’re excited to extend our portfolio to include NS1’s enterprise solutions. We know the market is primed for disruption, and their innovative approach will allow us to take advantage of a key market shift,” said Jeffrey Brown, president and general manager of Promark. “In addition, NS1 solutions align perfectly with our existing offerings, allowing us to expand our business even further.”
