Company also will make solution available for regional deployments
Aryaka, a player in the booming software-defined WAN space, is rolling out four new as-a-service network offerings and also will make its SD-WAN available for regional deployments starting early next year.
The Lowdown: The company also is unveiling a new service aimed at managed security for SD-WAN deployments, with the first offering integrating with virtual network functions (VNFs) from Palo Alto Networks. Integrations with more vendors will roll out over the next several months.
The Details: The new as-a-service offerings build on Aryaka’s flagship SmartConnect Connectivity-as-a-Service platform and HybridWAN, a global managed SD-WAN solution announced in September that combines the company’s Layer 2 core connectivity and its Aryaka-managed Internet connectivity. The new offerings are:
> Aryaka SmartOptimize: Network and Application Acceleration-as-a-Service that features TurboNet and TurboApp.
> Aryaka SmartCloud: Managed multicloud Networking-as-a-Service for public clouds, partner clouds, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) providers.
> Aryaka SmartSecure: Security-as-a-Service that includes a managed firewall and a network-function virtualization (NFV) capability for firewall products.
>Aryaka SmartInsights: Insights-as-a-Service that’s based on the MyAryaka cloud portal.
Background: SD-WAN continues to be the fastest-growing segment of the larger software-defined networking (SDN) market. IDC analysts predict the market to grow at almost 31% a year, reaching $5.25 billion by 2023. In addition, Gartner analysts are forecasting that global SD-WAN managed services within the connectivity and managed services market will grow at 76% a year through 2023, when it will hit about $5.7 billion.
The Buzz: “We are continuing to accelerate our innovation to respond to evolving customer and partner needs,” Aryaka CEO Matt Carter said. “Our unique patented SD-WAN architecture and our global network allow Aryaka customers to benefit from an integrated solution that delivers the industry’s best application performance. The affordable regional tier provides customers with the same cloud-first experience as our flagship global SD-WAN. This allows them to consolidate other box vendors into an Aryaka solution for the lowest possible TCO while at the same time accelerating their digital transformation initiatives.”
“Aryaka’s new portfolio of Smart Services builds on its history of delivering managed networking services in a cloud consumption model,” said Alex Lai, global infrastructure network manager at Darling Ingredients. “Darling Ingredients is a growing global organization with a cloud-first mentality, so we needed a network that’s flexible without compromising performance. Aryaka is a partner we can count on.”
