Gives channel more access to IP, education to grow cloud data management services
Veeam Software is enhancing the program for channel partners that sell and deploy its cloud-based data backup and recovery software.
The Lowdown: The channel-centric company, which has more than 68,000 partners and 365,000 customers, this week announced the expanded Veeam Accredited Services Partner (VASP) program, which officials said will enable partners to offer a direct service delivery model for Veeam products and services.
The Details: The restructured VASP program comes after Veeam earlier this year updated its North America ProPartner program. Partners in the enhanced VASP program will have access to:
> Veeam service IP through the partner portal to enable them to grow their portfolios
> Customized service offerings, including sizing and scaling tools, as well as service kits, to help partners differentiate their services
> Continued education opportunities around the vendor’s products and services and the ability to beta-test new features.
The benefits to partners include new business and revenue opportunities, resources that will enable them to win larger and more complex deals, and faster time-to-value through deeper integration with Veeam and its offerings.
The Impact: Veeam, which already does all of its business through the channel, is looking to make sure that partners are better able to help customers navigate an increasingly complex and sophisticated IT world. Pointing to the 2019 Veeam Cloud Data Management Report, company officials noted that 71% of senior and IT business decision-makers said technology will by the key factor in their digital transformation efforts.
