Partner Confidence Index: Q4 2024

Tags:

As 2024 draws to a close and the new year approaches, the channel is gradually recovering from its earlier dip in confidence. Although Channelnomics still categorizes overall channel confidence as “fair,” there are clear signs of improvement. The Partner Confidence Index (PCI) rose four points in the final quarter, reaching 77 out of 100 on our scale. This upward trend suggests partners are gaining renewed optimism as they navigate the evolving market conditions.

The PCI started 2024 at 73.3, a full point below what it was for full-year 2020, when the economy was significantly disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The first half of the year saw confidence sink to 71.4 — the lowest level since 2016, the furthest back that Channelnomics has data for calculating the index. While all of these numbers fall into what Channelnomics considers “fair” on our scale, they do indicate that partner confidence was shaken, leading to more reserved business activity.
